Hello,
My father is 59 years old, and underwent a heart implant in a Hospital in Israel a year ago. The surgery was successful and my father was released after a couple of months.
After 4 months my father began experiencing severe back aches (since February 2007).
My father underwent a series of tests, among others: MRI, CT, chest and back x-rays, and so on.
After 4 months of tests and hospitalizations, my father was diagnosed with 2 collapsed vertebras in the spinal column (fractures).
Doctors said one of the fractures was an old wound, and for the other collapsed vertebra he was given cement treatment 3 weeks ago.
A week ago he was given a root-block treatment, yet, even after all of these treatments, the pain didn't subside.
After the recent treatment my father was released from hospital, only to return 4 days later for hospitalization over returning pains and aches, and he is in hospital ever since.
His back pains are severe, and he can't do anything without a nurse's assistance, and he is mostly confined to his bed.
Regarding his heart and lung situation, they are both functioning well.
Every pain killer he received did not do the trick (even the morpheme he took yesterday didn't do anything).
If you know or have any suggestions for any certain types of treatments he should undergo, please let me know.
Thank you very much,
Nitzan
