That's horrible! I would not have been able to keep my temper in that situation. I would have been very tempted to punch that flight attendant in the face...

I guess it would get annoying for all the other people on the plane and the attendant was probably getting complaints or something. The mother should have had the necessary things with her like toys and food so that she could do something in that situation.

I would have been totally ticked at the flight attendant. Especially, since the other people on the plane were defending the mother. The attendant should definitley be reprimanded for her actions as well as the pilots for even agreeing to return the plane and for putting her and her son off of it. At least the child was not screaming at the top of his lungs or something. Sounds like he was just being a toddler saying bye to the plane. Something thats NORMAL for a child to do.

i watched it on the news... apparently every one on the plane had no problem with it and even the other flight attendants thought the one making the fuss was nuts. i would have cursed her out and been asking for her supervisor. i understand that it's considered a "terroristic threat" but jeez, there's no way that little boy knows that! he just knows he's getting attention.

That's just wrong. That flight attendant obviously does not have kids of her own.

I would have told that flight attendant exactly what she could do with that benadryl. Evil or Very Mad

Since when does a baby saying "bye bye plane" get you kicked off? That's just freaking ridiculous. That lady should have minded her own business and done her job instead of inconveniencing everybody and turning the whole plane around.

wow that is horrible but it happens often i think. I went walking one day when my twins were almost a year old and got tired and decided to take a bus home The girls were in a tandum strooler one in front of the other. I got on a low ride bus that you can just wheel the stroller on. Frist I got on paid then before I even move to get toward the seats the bus was already moving i HAD TO HOLD THE STROLLER EVEN THOUGH BREAKS WERE ON AND PUT THE SEATS Unot one person on that bus even offered to help. Then I finally get the girls and I all settled and the bus is starting to get fuller and it was like 4 block since I got on the bus and nowhere near a cross street to catch a different bus and the bus driver told me we had to get off that my stroller is to big and that I have to many childen cann't I keep my legs closed. He stopped the bus and told everyone on the bus that unless I got off they were not moving. Now I and not a overly shy person and have a rather big mouth so I told him that he could not do this and I had paid my fear and should be allowed to ride with my children. The other passengers were they are fine leave them alone and to that person that he could get off too if he did not shut his mouth. I ended up getting off. Later when I called Public Transit they said he has the right to refise passengers. I said that maybe so but I was not a problem and he was a rotten man. Long and short of it until 3 other passengers came forward did transit do something. He was fired in the end but they would not just take my word that I did nothing wrong. There are some crazy people out there

that is ridiculous! Shame on her! I bet she was never a child herself! At least the woman wasn't trying to breastfeed her son! Grrrr...

you know, people will gripe and roll their eyes and stuff when a kid is making too much noise for them, but who in their right mind would kick the woman and child off the plane because her kid is talking? it's not like the kid was having a fit and running up and down the aisles. you don't drug a kid for being a kid. utterly ridiculous. i think the flight attendants know that they can tell the pilots that any passenger is being a nuisance and get them thrown off because of the climate with air travel safety at the moment. i think she should be fired for taking advantage of her position and inconveniencing everyone involved. maybe they should have given her some benadryl to shut her up.
