Q: Update On Jersey & Brian

Hey guys!! Sorry i have been off so much. I'm getting ready for our trip to Newfoundland in just 4 days. I'll probably be off for 2 weeks after Monday.

I'm not sure if you guys remember that when Jersey was born she had problems with her breathing and was put in an incubator for the first 3 days of life. She developed tiny tears(neurothorax) in her lungs, which caused oxygen to leak out and get trapped in her chest cavity. Well because of that she has appts. at the neonatal department for the next 2 years to track her development.
Her first appt. was a couple days ago, and it was discovered that she has "low muscle tone". Our doctor noticed at 3 months that she was a bit too "floppy", but said it had improved a bit by 4 months. It just means that she has less strength in her body and that's why she less control over her body. I'm not worried because she's developing well everywhere else. They said that if she's not rolling by herself at 8 months then she may need some occupational therapy.... no biggie! She's now 15lbs 4 oz and at 90th percentile for her length.

Now for little Brian, since he's been about 4 years old the doctor's at Sick Kids have been monitoring his kidney's for stones. He gets u/s twice a year and they have noted NO growth in his right kidney. The left one is growing well though. Now he has to have a more in-depth u/s to explain why it's not growing.

I'm so sorry for the long post!

Thanks for listening.... Love you guys!
