It's also possible he's hitting your cervix. It is uncomfortable or painful for most women. Is he penetrating deep? Try getting yourself on top to control the depth.

I feel EXACTLY the same way
I get this same feeling of a cut on the right side of my vagina during sex! It hurts so bad that we have to stop. It has completely interfered with my sex life. It's pretty close to the opening of my vagina but still inside of it.

Please let me know if you've found any answers...

you can email me directly if you'd like
(edited to remove personal information)
I'm really just wanting to find a reason for it Sad
I've been seen by three different doctors, even a specialist, and they didn't find anything. It never used to be like this.

is it a sharp stabbing pain? and after intercourse, does it continue to hurt for a while? or is it just pain during the actual friction of intercourse?

okay, this has happened to me. let me explain a little bit.
it's happened a few times now,

i'll be having sex, then a sudden intense pain will start happening in my vaginal area.. i can't say that it's on the right side.. but i DO get sharp side pains on the right in addition to the pain down below. it feels as if someone has stabbed me repeatedly in there. so of course we stop having sex, and the pain still lingers. it sometimes makes me nauseated, and lightheaded. sometimes the pain has been so severe, i can't move because it hurts worse.

i went to the health clinic and explained this to a nurse practitioner.

she said it sounds like a bladder spasm. you can look it up online and read about it if you'd like. she suggested to make sure you pee before and after sex.. should solve the problem.

Eh, there's a lot of different stories in this one. I don't know who's answering and who's asking questions. If you have something similar, please start a new topic so I know where to find your question! Smile

Pain during sex can be caused by a number of different things. Mena, I agree with pink highlighter, it really sounds like your guy bumped your cervix. Sometimes certain positions or angles aren't going to feel good and can be extremely painful. Remember what hurts and avoid these positions. Although, going to the bathroom before and after sex is also a very good idea too.

As for the other ladies, if you do not use enough lube then sex will be a little painful until the irritation or tears heal. So you'll need to stop having sex for awhile so they can heal. It's also possible that you have an infection, in which case you'd probably be experiencing or symptoms as well.

If sex is still painful then it would probably be a good idea to discuss it with a doctor.

Type of doctor to see for vaginal pain
what kind of doctor? An OB-GYN didn't help me. They told me to go to a GI - does anyone have any opinion about the type of doctor to see?
