Q: Pap Smear

My lab results have shown that my pap smear came back with A-typical squamous cells of undetermined significance. Vaginal coccovacilli. What does that mean?

My doctor felt it indicated HPV. Does it? Then the gyn wasn't too concerned. He said it was a bacterial vaginitis.

Ah, this is why they are called "practicing physicians".

"Undetermined significance" = We Don't Know

Probably get another pap? And another opinion. You don't want to mess around with any of this.
