Hi nicole i'm toska i'm in the process of waiting also usually with me and my friends have told me this also that it takes me at least 7 weeks to find out. Hpt or urine tests at the doctors office don't work for me. If you are really in a hurry to know though go to your doctor and ask can you have a blood test done also which is more accurate. I am 4 days late on my period but am hoping to be pregnant but I am going to wait a couple of weeks before I go to the doctor and I am requesting the blood test because more than likely the hpt or urine test will come back negative for you. i had my first pregnancy test at home after I am 1 week late having my mens. If you have regular menstrual cycle, 1 week late will mean a higher chance of pregnancy but if your menstrual cycle is irregular then I think you should give yourself a little bit of time.

I took a test and it came back positive. I am pregnant, yeaaa!!! I am so excited.

Well for me I took a home pregnancy test the day before I was supposed to start my period, my husband and I were too excited to wait, and it came back faintly positive, so we took another the next day just to make sure, when I supposed to start and it was clearly positive. Just test and find out for sure, there's no better way to take away the anxiety.
