Just wondering I am babysitting my friends kids and her son was crying when he was pooping and i changed him and there is blood in his poop, its bright red and im sure that its blood its not alot but enough to notice. I am saving the diaper for her to see when she gets back. But im guessing she should take him to the dr right? ive never seen blood in poop in an infant and just wondered what could cause it.

What was his stool like? Was he somewhat constipated? If he was it may have been uncomfortable to poo because it was too solid or something. And if it was readlly solid and he tried to pass some that was to big he could have made a little tear around the hole and caused it to bled. I know that happened when with Brayden when he got constipated from the change to formula..

I would definately mention it tho
