My daughter Shaylyn was born on july 3rd and was fine until the doctors told my wife Amanda that Shaylyn could not come home on friday. Shaylyn has been in an isolette since then, the doctors let her out so we could fed her but other than that she is in the isolette. the doctors have ruled out an infection, she does have jaundice and is a touch anemic due to my wife having a c-section, all shaylyn's vitals are fine other than she cannot control her temperature and when she is out and feeding she loses anywhere from .1 to 1 degree.Shaylyn is gaining weight from 6lbs 15.5 oz to 7lbs 4oz. Shaylyn would lose more but we only keep her out of the isolette for about 30 minutes or less. The doctor's are miffed at what is wrong with her.

Both me and my wife are very concerned about Shaylyn as any parent would be about their child. Shaylyn was not premature and all the doctors and nurses have told us not to worry because they believe that it is probably something very small but we are anticipating the worst. we try to stay positive and hopeful but it is getting so hard and frustrating to see Shaylyn and know we are helpless right now. The doctors ran an ultrasound on her brain today and everything came back negative. The doctors have run blood work 3 times and done 2 cultures which we are waiting for the results from the second, the first came back negative. If anyone has any insight or knows anyone that this sort of thing has happened to before please help us out.
