I have Phimosis and as far back as i can remember i always had this extra foreskin on my penis and never in my life has the foreskin retracted even to show the tip of my penis. Just recently i learned of this problem and instead of going to the doctor i tried to do the stretching. As far as the stretching goes its going really good and i can pull my foreskin of the top of my penis while stretching. This is where i see a potential problem, theres a very small tissue connection between on top of my penis and the foreskin, its extremely sensitive when i touch it to the point i can't touch it for prolonged periods and when i pull the foreskin back the tissue stretches too. I don't want to continue stretching because i am scared i'll break this tissue and the following pain/bleeding. The tissue even though small is not really thin so i really don't know what i should do. Is this even normal?

that is called the frenelum (sp?) that will rest at the back of the gland when you retract your foreskin. Soak your penis in warm water for 5 min, you can change out the water for hot water every min if you want. dry it off and try pulling your forskin as far back as you can without it hurting and hold it there. get some moisturizer like Curel or nivea and put some on the forskin you want to stretch and the head of your penis and move your forskin back and forth. just keep doing this and you will begin to stretch the forskin. This will go alot faster than just stretching the opening. The soaking an moisturizer are important to the process. you will find that the head of your penis is very sensitive, that is normal and you just have to suck it up and let it desenitize by keeping your foreskin retracted.

You probably have Frenulum Breve. It's a minor problem that is fixable through stretching (though it may take awhile) or through a minor procedure called a fenuloplasty. It's important to get your foreskin fully retracted to properly clean it. If left unclean, it's a breeding ground for bacteria and infection.
