Q: Muscle Spasm Or Baby Kicking?

I am 12 weeks 3 days and I keep feeling what I think is a muscle spasm in my uterus. This is my first pregnancy, and from what I have read from other ladies, especially ladies who have had multiple babies, tell me that I won't feel the baby until 15 weeks. Has anyone felt the baby at 12 weeks?

I felt my baby move at 13 weeks so it is possible thats what your feeling. Though as my doctor told me when I asked her about it she said that it's rare, but in women who are thin or have had multiple pregnancies they can feel the baby move earlier then others.

It is probably gas. Babies bones have not formed enough for their little kicks and jabs to be felt yet. The baby is moving, but it isn't strong enough to move hard enough for you to feel it.

I felt movement around 12 weeks even though I was pregnant with my first and everything I'd read said it was too soon.

To me, it was very, very subtle feeling. It felt almost like I was being tickled from the inside and was well below my belly button & a little to the right (turns out the baby is still a bit to the right because that's where they hear the heartbeat with doppler, where the sonogram was done, all a bit to the right, probably to do with the positioning of my uterus).

Around 18 weeks, I started to feel occasional pokes (like being poked with an index finger from the inside); around 21 weeks, good strong, occasional kicks that could be felt from the outside by my husband (but I still feel the tickling sometimes too although a bit higher up now--I'm 22 weeks).

I started feeling my baby quickening at about 15 weeks maybe 17 but now it feels like the baby is kicking me or punching me. It feels funny but i love the feeling.
