About a month ago, I got a severe cold that lasted 3 weeks. It felt like i'd gotten rid of it completely, though, and was working my way back into regular exercise & activity. Last week, 4 weeks from the start of that cold, I had a very vigorous workout, and then 2 days later, developed flu symptoms. Nasty body aches, high fever (102), and chills. This phase fortunately only lasted about 8 hrs. A couple of days before this hit, I started having a strange "kink" in my side, like my gut was in distress. I attributed that to some new calcium & magnesium supplements i'd been trying. That ache intensified with the flu coming on, and the day after the fever, I got intermittent diarrhea, which lasted 3 days. Today is the first day without diarrhea, but I still get that ache if I eat anything at all, sometimes even if I drink water. I'm worried about what that ache signifies. Could it just be my gut's inflamed from the virus, or is it something more serious? I was wondering if in fact it was the gut that caused the fever & not the flu. Anyone else have a flu like this?? And how long should I expect this thing to last? Now my sinuses are clogged & that seems like an offshoot of the flu.

Thanks...
