Hi! I'm new here-in fact I've never posted on any site. Here's my story- I'm 40 years old. My partner (female) and I have been trying for about 5 years total for a baby. We tried with her first-testing for egg quality came back bad. Have been trying with me since 2004. Had 3 iui's (with injectables) with first doctor. Switched docs last Feb as the first doc would say after each failed cycle that there was no reason it didn't work-let's add on more meds! Got pregnant on 2nd iui with new doc. Unfortunately had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks (really happened at 9 weeks best they can tell) Jan of this year. They think it was from exposure to a child with parvovirus (fifth disease). Took a few months off after the d&c. Started meds again beginning of June and got a hpt on the 27th. Took another one each (each got darker) until I went for bw on Sat 30th. Pregnancy confirmed. Beta 44. Unfortunately beta dropped 2 days later to 34. Started bleeding 4 days later. Doc wants us back at the beginning of next period. Anyone out there have a similar experience? Even better-anyone that has had a baby after similar experiences? We're having a tough time with all of this and are looking for some hope. Thanks.
