i got 1, and a friennd of mine whos a pharmacist told me that dipping my finger in hot water and then putting salt on it, and applying it to the cold sore gets rid of it quick. is this true? because it looks like its spreading, because at some points it feels like the salt makes it burst, and the bacteria might spread...should i just pop it? :S

i believe taht makes the bacteria spread. just like popping pimples
there should be some form of over the counter medicine that you could take for it. like a creme or something? try abreeva
