I've been experiencing many of the same things everyone on here has. I have a pain under my right rib cage/upper abdominal area. It is a moderate steady pain (that will last from 30 min- a few hours at a time) that feels better if I slouch/lean forward, and occasional will be a sharp sudden pain where I literally cannont move or breathe for about 30 seconds. It started a couple months ago, and it felt like a pancreatitis attack (which I've been prone to). Once the pain got pretty bad, I went to the ER. It was not pancreatitis, and at first the doctor diagnosed me with gallstones. But after a second ultrasound, he said it was not gallstones, but a peptic ulcer. He put me Protonix (a med used for acid reflux, that in turn can help ulcers). It seemed to work a little bit at first, along with changing my diet, but now the pain is back. I go back to the doctor tomorrow, so hopefully I will find something out. I really do not believe it is an ulcer. However, the change in diet (cutting out caffine, chocolate, fatty food, alcohol and niccotine) seems to make the pain decrease. I'd suggest trying an extremely bland diet for about 5 days then slowly introduce other foods back (in moderation) and see if that helps.
