Q: Tooth pain after cavity filling

Is it normal to feel sensitivity to cold foods/drinks after having a very small cavity filled? my tooth was filled about 2 days ago... it was a really small cavity (took about a minute to drill and fill). I was feeling this same kind of sensitivity before the cavity was taken care of, and it still hasn't gone away. i feel it distinctly coming from that tooth (the rest of my mouth is free of cavitites).

Pain after filling
i had a cavity in my tooth and i had it filled today, i was totally unaware that the procedure would be as painful as it turned out to be, even though it only lasted a mere minute or so. Before the molar was filled the dentist assured me that it would be painful, but i soon realised that was a lie, he cleaned out the tooth with very cold water and had me very unconfortable, and to be honest my eyes became a tad watery due to the excess pain. The dentist didnt warn me of any pain that i should be expecting, he only said do no eat anything until 45minutes minimum. I have the same pain i had before the tooth was filled and i hope that the pain will die down, and i also pledge nether to get a filling again, i'd rather they take out all my teeth. im afraid!! Sad
