tooth ache or TMJ

I've been researching about this discomfort/pain that I have when I open my mouth huge or eat, I feel that it hurts and sometimes I hear a "click" sound between the upper and lower jaw. Also it feels like that I am having a tooth ache, however the pain is not in the tooth.. I tried to press on my teeth and it doesn't hurt at all... I don't feel pain when I speak to people or laugh or stay quiet.. it's just that when I open my mouth to a certain level and eat using my right side of my jaw... Is this TMJ? What can I do to remedy this? It just started happening 1 week ago...
