I came home late Saturday night and forgot to take my pill. I usually take it at around 10 or 11pm. The next day, I forgot I hadn't taken the pill and had sex without a condom. He didn't pull out, so I'm worried. When I got home that day, I took my pill, at around 3 of 4pm. But now I'm so worried. I always take my pill at around the same time. I JUST missed that Saturday.

I don't exactly know how long it takes for an egg to start growing if I missed a pill.

hey, if you miss a pill you are supposed to take it as soon as you remember, so if you are taking it the next day (which it seems like you did) you should have taken the pill you missed as well as the pill you were supposed to take that day (so you would have taken 2 pills in one day) as long as you did this, you should have been covered, but if you are really worried about it, you can always take something like Plan B which is effective up to 72 hours (some say 120 hours) after sex.

thank you. the reason why i'm scared is because the last time i took the pill was Friday 11pm. Saturday I missed it. Sunday I had sex in the afternoon. Then doubled up on my pill later that day because I forgot to take the Saturday one. So basically, I wasn't covered for more than 24 hours.. advice?

You are more than likely protected. Every time you miss a pill your chance of pregnancy slightly goes up, but since you took it as soon as you remembered and took two pills within one day, you are still pretty protected.

Carolina is right, Plan B is always another option. It will prevent ovulation and fertilization from occurring if you take it in time (within 72 hours of unprotected sex, but the sooner the better)

It is never 100% guaranteed, but it is highly likely that you will not be pregnant.
