Too old ?
Posted: 08-26-08 22:16pm

I am 36 and my Husband is 43. We have talked about having kids off and on since we got married. We had decided not to have kids and retire early and travel the world in a boat. And now I'm pregnant. We are fine financially but concerned with our age. Also this was not our plan. My husband has never been a fan of other peoples kids. Everyone has always said it would be different if it was our own. We are considering Terminating the Pregnancy. But having a hard time making the decision. We will be 54 and 61 when he/she graduates high school. Anyone have any input?

Thanks Kelly

I'm 35 and I'm 5 months pregnant with my first. And I'm planning to have another baby at 37 since I'm healthy and super fertile. What's wrong with being 54 and 61 by the time he/she graduates? Do you think life stops when you are 50? My aunt had my cousin at 42 and have had a very happy life and my cousin is the prettiest and the smartest girl of the entire family. So pretty she has been asked to compete in beauty peagants. My aunt is now a grandma in her 70's and very happy.

Did you watch Dara Torres in the Olympics? What she said when they asked her what advice you want to give your daugther. She said I will tell her to

You are not old at all. And congrats on being pregnant!

First of all I don't think that you are too old. And secondly if you are not sure about whether or not to terminate the pregnancy than I wouldn't do it. I think that having an abortion is something that you have to be absolutely positive about or you will end up having regrets later on.

My motto in life is that Everything happens for a reason!! This may not be "your" plan but I believe that this IS the plan that has been set out for you.

Good luck and I hope that you make the best decision for you.
