I don't have health insurance and I can't afford to miss work. So to fight a stubborn tonsillitis I tried making what I thought would be a potent vegetable cocktail, with beats, celery, kale, tomatoes, lemons and a lot of raw ginger.
After drinking a lot (about a quart) I felt very exhausted, started sweating profusely and fell asleep for 10 hours. The only potent thing in the drink I can think of is the ginger. So is too much raw ginger bad for you?
