too much exercise ? Posted: 03-22-08 08:04am
How do you know if your working out
routine is healthy, or it is actually
turning into something more serious like a
form of bulimia?
For those of you who have never read about
bulimia wont know what i mean because of
the many forms of bulimia, not necessarily
just throwing up. But for those of you who
do know i would appreciate the advice.
Thanks in advance,
Myra

I have a little story about that one:
I used to live in a dormitory where a lot
of the girls were obsessed about their
weight. There was one girl who always was
terribly worried about her weight to the
extent that she would run immediately
after having half a pancake for
breakfast.
This is called exercise bulimia.
People can use working out in extremes as
a measure to prevent weight gain. As
everyone knows, it's not healthy to
exercise immediately after eating either.
It's really bad for digestion and it isn't
going to burn the calories you just ate
since they haven't even had a chance to
metabolize yet.
Too much exercise on a poor diet can
really make you feel run down. The body
doesn't have anything to build muscle on
an you will end up having little to no
body fat which contributes to depression.
But some people just feel the need to keep
moving all the time since they have
something they feel they need to burn
off.....no matter what the cost, they must
exercise.
