Q: Too many supplements ?

I've decided to change my diet for various reasons - good skin, general health, etc. I've started eating a lot of fruit (berries, grapes, plums) and drinking the required water intake (2L) per day. I've bought some supplements for extra vitamins and had one question. I have bought some cod liver oil capsules, which I've been taking for about a week now and just today I decided to buy some selenium enriched supplements. Now I'm not sure whether to take both or just one of these? They both state they contain 100% RDA of Vitamins A and E, so I don't want to overdo it. Are there any side effects if I took one of them in the morning and the other one at night perhaps? My basic goal is good, healthy-looking skin and I've heard both fish oils (found in Cod Liver Oil) and selenium are both great.

So my question is, is taking one cod liver oil capsule and one other supplement containing 100% Vitamins A and E too much or does it not really matter?

Thanks for the advice

Vitamins A & E are fat-soluble
Because they dissolve in fat, vitamins A, D, E, and K are called fat-soluble vitamins. They are absorbed from the small intestines, along with dietary fat, which is why fat malabsorption resulting from various diseases (e.g., cystic fibrosis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease) is associated with poor absorption of these vitamins. Fat-soluble vitamins are primarily stored in the liver and adipose tissues. With the exception of vitamin K, fat-soluble vitamins are generally excreted more slowly than water-soluble vitamins, and vitamins A and D can accumulate and cause toxic effects in the body.

If it is NATURAL Vitamin A (beta-carotene) you should be alright.
