I had a horrible tonsillectomy about 2 years ago. The doctor said they were decrepit when he took them out and the pain I felt recovering from the surgery was IMMENSE. I had a lot of bleeding and pain. So now two years later I am getting a "sore throat" feeling in the back of my neck. When I look in, there is a small red, almost veiny thing where my tonsil was (this has been there for awhile but only recently is it really hurting, probably because I have been sick and coughing alot has irritated it). If I crack my neck or strain my neck a lot, I will get the sore throat feeling right where that veiny thing is. I actually looked in and when I make a gagging reflex, the veiny thing strains, kinda like if was flexing and a vein popped up.

The pain is kinda shooting down to my lower neck above the shoulder too. It basically feels like I have a soar neck and a soar throat.

A side note, there is a white spot on the area where my other tonsil is. It's been there ever since my surgery... but I do smoke marijuana about 5 times a week at night time and I'm scared its cancer or something.

I am going to the doctors next week, but I just was wondering if anyone had advice. Thank you very much!
