Earlier this school year in september my roommate dropped part of the bed on my foot and my big toe nail popped off. I went to the doctor the next day to make sure it was okay and to change the dressing. Everything was fine. The toe nail has been growing back great, but then a week ago it started hurting. I just thought it was growing through some skin and it was just tender. Then I couldn't wear a shoe cause it hurt so bad and was so swollen, so I went to the doctor. They told me it was infected and prescribed an antibiotic pill and cream. The infection seems to be going away fine,but now the nail seems to be turning black. Is it because of the infection, the medicine, or something else. I have an appointment to see a specialist, but it's not for another week.
