Hi,

I have Tmj like many of your guys have, I mean i live with it for 3 year now.
yes it is very annoy. feel like my jaw that once work and open wide freely
now stuck and broken.

Of cause I read a lot of this tmj forum i really understand ur pain more or less, I just want let any you guys know, I wish nothing but the best in improve tmj condition for all of us.

I now understand how lucky I was to have a prefect work body and jaw before I start having tmj

Here is the question.

many tmj condition of each person are different, some more or less, some affecting ear, eye, sholder and more.

The condition I have right now (TMJ). It is not too bad but still it is NOT to the point that i satisfied with it and I can just get over it and move on with my life. I think that if a surgery could help me to feel better with my jaw (less pain and less poping)

But from I read people who post story here seem like their TMJ never really cure even with 5-6 operation or total jaw replacement.

I feel like the more you try to fix it with surgery, it only lead you to another surgery and then the pain and problem is endless....

My question is their anyone who did sergury and it happen to cure your TMJ??? of cause not completed but at least to the point that you feel so little uncomtable and pain or evenmore less poping-clicking So that you the life the feeling that you enjoy back again like when you didn't have tmj disorder??

"Therefore, long question short anyone found success in surgery to the point that you feel normal again and happy with ur jaw, body, life again????"

I really need as much opinion as i can to decide what i should do.
thank you so much.

relief after tmj surgery?
Hi! I have had TMJD for 11 years now. I first had surgery 9 years ago. Initially surgery helped! I felt SO much better! No more clicking and popping and my headaches went away. I did have to have two more surgerys after to remove scar tissue, but they helped as well. Unfortunatley, the last few years my pain is back big time. I have my joints injected with kenalog (a steroid) and that helped for a while, but I feel like I'm back to square one...long story short, it did help for a while, and it was great while it lasted! I do think however, that my pain is still not as bad as before my first surgery. Hope this helps and good luck!!!

Most people find that surgery is of no help long-term. Do everything you can to avoid it.
