im sure that it is possible to feel it----i dont think that you would feel the disk its self but the effect of it being out. I didnt feel mine at all when it was out.

what are you doing to treat this? I have a suggesion for you

thanks for the reply - does this sound like tmj - it does to me! What is your suggestion? I have some good, but mostly bad days - I sleep on my back, etc. My jaw does deviate to one side when opening and the other when closing - also the grinding is loud and can be felt when I put my little finger in my ear. The muscle pain is all over, even sometimes under the front of my neck - anyway thanks for any input - it is much appreciated. I live near Palm Bch fl.....

I have been having soreness under the bone on the right side by my ear. I have a little tmj. It hasn't bothered me until recently. Last summer it all started when I had an infection (i thought i did) from a pierced earring and went on an antibiotic. From that time on it comes and goes. Most recently it hurts when I chew and the pain goes down my neck. Mild to moderate pain. My glands do not seem to be swollen. I do have and feel with my fingers a clicking sound on that side. Both my dentist and my ear, nose, and throat doctor confirmed a little tmj. Do you think it is getting worse? What should I do now? I've also been having headaches (migraine) as well as some facial pains. I'm being treated for anxiety and depression also and am on meds that I thought could be responsible for the headaches. I am currently under a doctor's care but she doesn't know yet about the facial and neck/tmj situation. I'll be seeing her soon. I feel like a hyprochondriac. What should I do if anything?
