Q: TMJ other symptoms

I have had TMJ for about 22 years. I've been feeling pretty good for the last 14 years, occasional headaches but that was all. I was in an auto accident a year ago and with that came the jaw pain. I found a TMJ specialist because I knew what it was. I wear a splint at night time. although lately I've been wearing it more often. For about a month I've been feeling nauseas off and on and my head feels kinda spacey at times, or off balance might be a beter word. It's not total dizziness. My neck and shoulders have been hurting lately too. I started physical therapy yesterday not sure if that will help.
I went to an ENT last week and she said I don't have an inner ear infection. I thought maybe that's what it was. Does anyone else get nauseas? This is my first question/post. I found this site when trying to figure out why I've been nauseas for soo long. I went to my general doc twice and he doesn't know what it is.
So I'm trying to figure out if this is two different issues, my TMJ and something else or if they are connected. Sorry for the long post. I appreciate any help. I'm so glad I found this site! It is so helpful!!

dont worry about the length of your post. it helps:P nausea can be caused by tmj. i get it all the time. physical therapy can help, but id suggest that you see a chiropractor as well. im sure that the accident is the cause of the tmj recurrence. i also have a suggestion for you as to who you should see.---pm me and we can talk some more:) welcome to the board and we are happy to have you here.

im pretty sure all of this is linked to the tmj. tmj causes a lot of problems---even those that we dont think are connected.

Thanks for the welcome and for your reply. I'm starting to drive myself and my hubby crazy thinking there's something wrong with me. I had a physical in April and all the tests came back normal.
