i think i might have tmj, i woke up one morning at about 4:30am and the room was spinning and i had a splitting headache. i took a tylenol and thought nothing of it. well i woke up and the dizziness was still there. and has not left this has been since may 8th. everytime i eat something my mouth hurts and then i get the dizzys real bad with a headache. i've been to 9 md's. had ct scans of my head. ultrasounds of abdomen. they found nothing out of the ordinary. and sent me on my way. oh and since this all happened i had several panic attacks with many trips to the emergency room because i thought it was my heart. the migraines and the dizziness are the worst. i was wondering if anyone on here has any tips for me about who to see because i notice my jaw clicks on the left side and thats the side where my eye starts t o twitch and swell up and the pain runs down my neck and it feels like i had a constant soar throat. i dont know what else to do. but the xanax seems to help somewhat. but the dizziness is the scariest thing. i think we all think the worst when something hits us out of nowhere like this. sorry for rambling. lol but i need to vent!

vertigo is not part of my life, thanks God... Just moving the jaw back and forward, causes strange noise in the ear, however, so inflammation, alignment of the tissues must be compressing the auditory canal, or whatever the cause might be. Yup, I also have this contants feeling of sore throat on that side.

I know that there is physio therapy to address vertigo proglems by attempting to move some of the "crystals" in the auditory canal.

i've tried acupuncture and let me tell you, it helped with the dizziness but nothing else. but the dizziness was the worst. now it's just the migraine headaches and my jaw does what it wants when it wants to. i told the acupuncturist about the vertigo he laughed and said tilt your head to the left. stuck a few needles in the right side of my head, then the room stopped spinning within 5 minutes. but the migraines have got worse so has the mouth pain. he said that is normal but i need to see a dentist because my bottom jaw is deviated. my teeth touch wherever they want when they want. i wish this would all go away.
