Hello Tran. Your experience does seem to indiciate possible TMJ disorder. To get a diagnosis, you can consult your GP OR a dentist first to examine how you bite down. S/He'll take a look at your face and jaw for pain and tenderness, listen to the joint for noises, and measure the opening of the jaw. Diagnostics include an . x-ray(s) of the joints, CT scans to view the bony detail of the joint, or an MRIs to view the soft tissues of the joint, including the disc.
Treatment may include simple things you can do yourself, such as eating soft foods or applying ice packs. It may also include pain medicines or devices to insert in your mouth. In rare cases, you might need surgery.
Does that help?
