i have been diagnosed with tinnitus but have not yet had all the tests done. In the meantime i would welcome any help to relieve the symptoms. I have constant ringing in the right ear and backround noise just seems to make it worse. What can i do?

thanks for any help

i've been diagnosed with tinnitus too since july 14th of this year. it's in my right ear too. an on and off ringing in my ear. i've gotten put on prednisone from my ear, nose and throat doctor and it worked for a week or two now it started back up again but now its not so constant. but it drives me crazy when i watch tv, i keep hearing bird chirping and when i pause the tv, it goes away. anyway my doctor told me theres nothing he can do but put me on prednisone. i was wondering what other tests you're planning on getting done? i just thought i'd let you know we're both in the same boat.
