Q: tingling spot

I have a spot on my back that tingles and feels a bit numb at times. There are times that I can barely stand having my clothing touch the spot. It feels like there is something under the skin....but there is nothing there. It tingles most of the time, but the severity of it comes and goes. Any ideas of what it could be or what I can do to get rid of it?

Hello Mommym,

May I ask if you have any back pain associated with the tingling sensation? Also, could you give us an idea of where on your back you have the tingling sensation?

Thanks

Hello Mommym,

Thank you for the additional information.

Mommym, I am not a doctor, just a spiney like most of us on this forum. In my opinion you need to seek the advice of a spinal surgeon/neurosurgeon. Search for the best best one you can find in your area. Make an appointment to see the doctor at the top of your list. Then make an appointment with the next doctor on your list. Second opinions are always a good idea.

When it comes to "tingling" sensations, it can be caused by a pinched nerve. Please seek the advice of a spinal surgeon/neurosurgeon without delay.

I wish you the best. Let us know how things go for you.
