Q: Tingling Lips plus red blotches

I have been experiencing tingling and random red blotches on my lips for the past year. It's bothered me to the point where I went to the doctor and he says it could be an allergic reaction, simplex 1 or a fungal infection. He prescribed me Acyclovir but I'm still experiencing the same symptoms. I'm afraid I have an std that's never been heard of. What could I possibly have? I did sleep with someone and noticed the tingling sensation in my lips a few weeks later. I never had this problem before. Is there anyone out there who might be able to give me some advice?

Are you talking about the lips of the mouth or the lips of the vaginal opening (labia)?

It's of the mouth. I have no problems down there.

i have that too..mine are hives. its sounds like what u have. dont worry. and if u really think u have an std, u dont, because if u had an std its like nasty sores that are really noticable and very painful. dont worry, it is probably allergies. go back to the doctor and get new medicine..or even over the counter benadryl or clartian works. when it happens again wash ur face and hands with soap.
