For 1, is that true that she might be ovulating?

Female ovulation can occur earlier than the usual 14th day. It may be even the 9th day from the start of the period. If her period lasts for 6-7 days, it is possible that she ovulates 3 days after her period. It would very easy to check if she is pregnant. You might use urine pregnancy tests, but to be completely sure I would suggest a visit to a gynecologist.

She also might have another period in time. But do not rely solely on this fact, because if the usual blood quantity during the period was only several drops for several days, then unusual bleeding during pregnancy might be mistaken for regular menstrual bleeding.
