Time to Take Charge - I Am Always Tired!
Posted: 08-29-07 19:20pm

I'm 18 years old, male, in good physical shape, mentally sharp - everything seems good. However, it doesn't matter how much, or how little, I sleep; I'm ALWAYS tired. I get my recommended 8.5 hours, and throughout the day I am in a constant blur, always almost falling asleep. I yawn, no joke, every few seconds. My eyes water and burn because I am so sleepy. I don't know what to do, and I've had this problem for quite a few years now.

I eat regularly, drink what I thought was enough caffeine, and I think I get the nutrition I need. Also, my mattress is dandy, I know that isn't the problem.

But what could be the problem? This is draining me, I'm tired of being half there and half not wherever I go.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

You may be getting to much sleep! I'm not kidding!

It could also be when you are waking up. If you wake up at the wrong time during your sleep cycle, it can make you groggy all day long.

So, the suggestion is this: Set your alarm ahead by 30 minutes or earlier by 30 minutes. You may think "oh, getting up earlier? No way that will help!" Just give it a try Wink I've had days where I had 6 hours of sleep and felt like I was electrified, and days where I got 11 hours and could hardly keep my eyes open Wink
