I have been feeling tightness in my throat on a daily basis, some days it's worse than others but it won't seem to go away. I tend to worry alot and can't stop over thinking things in my life. I am thinking this has to do with stress. I would like to know your input and help on this matter, thanks.

Sincerely,
Shannon

Hello Shannon.

Stress, anxiety and personality factors are all inter-related in your situation. Your personality most probably doesn't allow you to be relaxed and delegate tasks to others. Stress is mostly a by-product of your anxiety.

You have mentioned that you tend to worry a lot and over-think things in your life. This is a result of anxiety. And the anxiety could be about not having everything as you'd have liked, not being able to do enough, not being able to achieve what you want, etc. There is a hidden 'need' of security. But the real world hardly provides us any security. That's what creates the anxiety.

I suggest you visit a counselor for a better understanding of these issues. You may undergo therapy if you or your doctor/therapist feels so.

Regards
