Q: Tightening stomach
asked by: DoctorQuestion on March 24th, 2009
Can a stomache that has been so stretched out from childbirth become tight and firm by doing sit ups or crunches? is there an abdominal excersise that can work the stomach even though it is wrecked from childbirth and having a hysterectomy?

Any exercise for strengthening the abdominal muscles including sit ups would do well. On the other hand, if the skin is too stretched (with too many wrinkles), then you might not be pleased with the results in the end.
You might want to consult a plastic surgeon if and how the condition can be corrected.
