i have been given lansoprazole 30mg as i am suffering from heartburn and an ulcer, i have been taking these twice a day for 6 days now and my stomach feels bloated all the time and is tender to the touch, i no longer get heartburn but now have this uncomfortable feeling all the time which is making me not want to eat, i have been told to take these tablet for 4 weeks then go back to see the doctor, should i have this pain and feeling bloated stll with these tablets?. also for the last 6 weeks i have been getting this tightening in my throat it feels like my air intake is being reduced but its not, the docor told me it is anxiety, but i dont think i am suffering from anxiety? can you tell me what this could be, it passes then a few hours later i get it back, this has been constant for 6 weeks now and is getting me down?

Tightening of Throat
I was diagnosed with anxiety about 1 1/2 years ago. I had various symptoms with the main one being a tightness and pain in my chest as well as pain in my arm with numbness and tingling in arms and legs. I know that anxiety symptoms are different in everyone. After many test to make sure I wasn't having heart problems etc...or neurological issues I was diagnosed with anxiety. I do have a stressful job but was exercising every day, and eating healthy so I thought I was handling the stress. Anyway, the doctor told me that you can internally Hyperventilate without even knowing it. On a trial basis he put my on the minimum dose of effexor which eleviated all of my symptoms after a couple of weeks. I have to take a pill every day but it is worth it not to feel that way. You might try a mild anti-anxiety pill to see if your symtoms go away...it couldn't hurt. As they say if you don't take care of your stress it will manifest itself physically.
