First I noticed a lump in my lower neck one day. After getting every one I knew to feel themselves to compare I realized that it wasn't normal. So I made a appointment with my pcp and they ordered lab work for my thyroid levels, a CT Scan, Ultrasound then finally a FNA was done. My lab work was all normal levels. The ultrasound showed "There is a large complex nodule in the left thyroid lobe which is partly cystic but with considerable solid component. This measures 2.0 x 2.4 x 4.0 cm." The biopsy came back benign and my pcp told me to see them in 2 months for a follow up. Also it has been one week since the FNA and I can already feel the discomfort in my throat from it again along with seeing it again.
Now my question is should I continue to let them handle it or should I see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist? Or is what my pcp doing normal?
