Hello

I am 16 weeks pregnant and I used to take thyroid medication for HYPO thyroid. Just before I had gotten pregnant I had done my testing for Thyroid and my levels were normal and under control. I stopped taking my medication.

Today I am pregnant and 16 weeks. Please advise if this would have any effect on the development of my baby. I have had my first trimsemister screening which came out as fine that the baby is developing okay.

Do I need to be concerned I have now done the blood work to check my thyroid level though but wanted to know if any damage has been caused to the baby

Thanks
Tanya
