Q: Thyroid gland cysts and lymph nodes
asked by: DoctorQuestion on June 12th, 2008
I need an explanation on the following results of a Ultrasound.

No thyroid gland enlargement. The parenchymal echogenicity is normal. There is a tiny Anechoic lesion in the upper pole on the right, which has the features of a small cyst. Left lobe of the gland normal. Small bilateral cervical lymph nodes.

Current medical status: soft lump in right side of the neck.
Current medical treatment: had a ultrasound of the thyroid

The ultrasound report says that you have a small cyst in the right lobe of the thyroid gland. There are also noticeable lymph nodes on both sides of the neck.

There is no data about any “soft lump in right side of the neck”.
