Just a bit of history for anyone reading...I am 23 yo female, and I contracted HSV-1 about two years ago from an ex partner. My first outbreak was very nasty and extremely painful that lasted for a good 3-4 weeks and obviously I am petrified of that happening again! However, I haven't had a recurrent outbreak since (almost two years now) but I can't really remember the initial signs of having a herpes outbreak. My memory of it is a bit of a blur but I do recall having a bit of a thrush problem at the very start? I was very prone to thrush before I had my first herpes outbreak but haven't really had it since the outbreak, things have been reasonably well in order. However, I am now suffering from what I think is thrush? To describe without TMI (!), the area down below is really red and inflamed and is starting to get quite painful and uncomfortable. I have also noticed that it feels like a rash, there are lots of small bumps that I can feel but can't really see clearly and I was wondering is this a common symptom of thrush or could it be an early warning sign of another outbreak? Yeah like I said, my memory is vague and just wondering if someone could give me someperspective on this?
Cheers.
