We have a friend of ours who lives in India and her mother at age 40 got diagonised with throat cancer in oct 2008. She is going to speciality hospital and in begining they said nothing could be done. But after second visit they are saying it is curable and we want to know her condition is completely curable and what kind of treatment she has to follow.

Her final histopathology report says as follows

Specimen : Biopsy from growth Oesophagus

impression : MODERATELY DIFFERENTIATED (GRADE III) SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA, BIOPSY, GROWTH, OESOPHAGUS.

We have detailed reports if you want so and we kindly request you to give your opinion about the case condition and whether it is curable. She has been told no operation required and in currently 3rd cycle of chemotheraphy.
