three year old son has sweet smelling urine?

Is he diabetic? Or eating alot of sweet foods. That happens, especially if he that is all he eats and he doesn't drink alot of water. But i am not a doctor. Most diabetics complain of that before getting full blown diabetes. But he is quite young for that though
