Its been twos months since possible exposure to HIV for Me,I felt a painful lump under the pit of my arm,i got tested and I was non reactive for HIV antibodies, My question is If the swelling was due to HIV infection would I show positive for the HIV antibodies?

hi there

acute HIV infection not causing lump in armpit,SOME time it cause generalize lymph node enlargement.
regarding the test ,3 months after exposure is conclusive,try to understad most of people 95% of people produce antibody t 25 days,the renaming 5% produce antibody between 25-90 days.so if you had unprotected anal or vaginal sex,you should test again t 3month .

I agree with Muhamad, to be conclusive you should do the HIV antibody test beyond at the three month point. If you are is still experiencing symptoms after that, you should consider testing for HTLV.
