Hi, I was wondering if it was possible for the tip of the tampon to tear off. When I took it out, I didn't feel any pain and it wasn't dry. But when I looked at the tampon, it looked like a small part of the tip tore off. I got scared so I searched inside (vagina) and found nothing but blood. I was wondering if I was over reacting, and if it was possible if that piece was in there. (I used Tampax Pearl)

Faski, nothing can go anywhere. If it went into your vagina, it's got to come out through it again. The vagina is sealed so nothing bigger than a sperm can go up inside the cervix to your uterus. And even sperm cannot go in every day of your cycle.

So if you felt around well, then the tampon probably came out of the applicator like that. No manufacturing process is perfect, and a defect like that does not really matter.

Take care!
