Q: The likelihood of a non-sexual orgasm occurring
asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 6th, 2009
On Monday 1/5/09, immediatly after every urination I feel the sensation of an orgasm, in the lower abdomin. Should I contact my Doctor or is this normal. I have spoke to other females who have or are going through menopause, and no one has ever experienced this. And there has been a few times that I feel a vibration in the front of groin area, this started on the same date. I am a few days late this month so I don't know if this has anything to do with it. I need some advice fast!!!

According to the symptoms you reported only a theoretical presumption can be given. The nerves in the pelvic area sometimes receive a series of signals. You probably recognized these signals as vibrations of certain of the pelvic muscles. The signals were not long enough to cause a contraction. Also, when a urination occurs, the urethral sphincter relaxes and the bladder muscles tense to push the urine out. The signals that are sent to the bladder muscles might have somehow reached a sensitive area thus causing an orgasm.
