Q: The flu and penile fungus infections
asked by: DoctorQuestion on December 1st, 2008
I am worried if my current condition is something to do with my fever, headache and the penis problem.

I would like to get an idea on what the penis problem is and if its related anyways to my other physical conditions. I have never had sex with anyone else but my wife and the same goes for my wife. If i can get an idea on what the problem is or a link between the issues i can try and see a doctor to assist.

Taking into account the symptoms you provided, you might be experiencing two separate conditions: a flu-like infection and a fungal infection on the penis. The fungal infection is very probable if very potent antibiotics were prescribed for the flu-like infection. The antibiotics might have killed the bacteria on the mucosa and left a place for the fungal infection. The fungal infection is very common in women and you might have been infected from your wife with fungus, for example, candida.

A swab at a urologist, as well as an examination at a gynecologist for your wife might confirm the possible diagnosis. After that, an adequate antifungal medication would be sufficient.
