Q: Text appearing like it's in italics?

For the past week or so, any text that I look at (whether it be printed, on tv, on my computer or my phone) looks to me as if it is in italics. It is ever so slightly slanting to the right. Very odd.

I'm 33 with no health issues that I know of. Everything else seems completely normal, it's just text! Very odd. If I concentrate hard and get close up, I can see that it's really straight. If I forget to concentrate and just relax, it goes slanted again.

I can't find anything on the internet about this. I've tried covering my eyes one by one and I get the feeling this sensation is only coming from my left eye, but I can't be 100% sure.

Any ideas?

Extremely eHealthy

People that have an eye condition known as astgmatism, are often tired after reading and find that letters and words appear to be slanted.
Astigmatism is a vision condition that causes blurred vision due either to the irregular shape of the cornea, the clear front cover of the eye, or sometimes the curvature of the lens inside the eye.

See your opthalmologist!

I went to the opticians and they suggested it might be because my right eye is about perfect, but I'm short-sighted in the left. The difference between the two is quite unusually large, they said; and that difference might be causing the effect I'm seeing.

Just got to buy some glasses now and see if it helps.
