Q: Tests after stepping on glass ?

I hope I have the correct place for this post.

Ok, I was in my Dr's office for an annual exam and when I stepped off the table a shard of glass entered my foot.

She removed the shard from my foot and has since billed me for this surgery.
My visit was routine, so my insurance isn't covering, but that is another issue. (I do not think I should pay for this surgery.)

My question:
Should I have her have me tested for any diseases? Hepatitis? AIDs? I think that due to the sensitive nature of a doctor's office, some attention should be paid to my health and wellbeing, right?

Thanks for any help in this matter!

Ok what? I am not believing this! In the first place why was there a glass shard for you to step on? Then they stupidly charge you for a surgery that they had to do as a result of their neglect to maintain a safe office space?

If I were you I would a lawyer and sue them for all they are worth including medical expenses for tests determining if you are infected with some disease (which I think you should have done...but not at their clinic, never go there again.)

You are totally right to question all of this. Make as many reports as you can about this matter!
