Q: Testicular pain and infection
asked by: DoctorQuestion on June 20th, 2008
Have you any idea what the problem is. Could the occasional strange pain in my abdomen have anything to do with it ?

It would appear that the drugs I am being given are to treat diseases I have been tested for three times (all negative). The doctor told me he had to try these as the neurologist would not see me until he had.

I can’t understand why only your urine was examined and not the sperm as well. If you have a testicular infection sperm analyses will show that more easily than urine tests. Testicular pain can also occur if the kidneys or bladder are somehow affected (infection, stones). Pains can also be due to a prostate disorder (usually inflammation). Besides sperm analyses you can also request an ultrasound scan to check the abdominal organs and testicles and a rectal digital examination for the prostate.

You may want to consult a urologist about this.
