Q: Testicular implant - still doable?

Hello,

I have been interested in getting a testicular implant for a while now. I am 26. I was born with an undescended testicle or whatever you may call it. I never really asked anyone because it has been an embarrassing subject for me to discuss.

My question is, do doctors in the USA still perform testicle implants? A few years back I knew Mentor provided the implants and now I see they don't. Is this still something I can have done at the hospital with my urologist?

Also, I know no one can really answer this correctly but on estimation, would you think my insurance (blue cross, blue shield) would cover this. It is due to a medical problem, although that was 26 years ago. I don't have insurance yet but will August 1st.

Any input or help is much appreciated. I also read the many disadvantages of having this done for cosmetic purposes and it is still something I wish to pursue.
